Everything is a Ponzi Scheme

The best examples are governments which go deeply into debt and depend on more and more immigrants to build a wider base from which taxes can be raised to pay those reaching retirement age. However with more and more entitlements the task is sure to collapse at some future point.
Greece 2010 is a prime example...just kept borrowing and borrowing until they couldn't borrow any more. It is just the same on the family level. It's not rocket science.

Growing Older

Growing older may be the hardest thing you ever have to do.
My advice is not to fight it too savagely. You can't win. Grow old gracefully and always act (and dress) your age. George Carlin offers up some advice at the URL provided below but I find some of his 'pearls' to be a little simplistic.
1. Laugh often...easily said but not easily done unless you mean phony laughs. Surely laughing has to be spontaneous and natural.
2. Endure grief...I don't think we have any choice here. Grief is painful and we each must find our own way to deal with it.
3. Tell people that you love them. ...Telling people that you love them whether you're 19 or 90 means very little. Show them that you love them by making sacrifices on their behalf is far more meaningful. I used to tell my students that before entering into marriage they should ask themselves, "Would I give my life for him/her and if the answer is 'NO' then you don't really love the person. Love is a giving thing not a taking thing.

Should everyone get a vote? Why start at age 18? Why not 30?
What about criminals in jails? What about only those who pay taxes? What about only those with a high school education? What about only those who have been in the country for at least 5 years?

BOWED by the weight of centuries he leans
Upon his hoe and gazes on the ground,
